The school of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering  has two first-class master's degree programs in chemistry, chemical engineering and technology. In addition, it has jointly established doctoral programs in environmental engineering, chemical process machinery, food science, food nutrition and safety, and materials science with relevant colleges. At present, the school has more than 460 doctoral and master students. In recent 10 years, more than 3000 graduates have been trained, and most of them have become the business backbone of their units.

After many years of construction and development, through interdisciplinary and integration, the school has formed functional complexes and micro nano materials, modern analytical science and technology, interface and catalytic chemistry, functional polymer and fine chemical synthesis, green chemical process and process, advanced separation technology and its engineering, design and application of new functional materials, biological and resource chemical engineering, etc Research direction. In the past four years, 174 national level projects have been applied and 49 projects have been approved, with more than 25 million yuan of project funding; more than 90 provincial and ministerial level projects have been approved, and 77 projects have been approved with more than 10 million yuan; 36 municipal level projects have been approved, with more than 1.8 million yuan; In terms of transverse projects, 43 new projects, such as cooperation with enterprises and patent transfer, with a contract amount of more than 5.3 million yuan. At the same time, the teachers published 1168 SCI source journal papers, 690 patent applications and 423 authorized patents.
