Biography

Dr. Aili Wang received her MS degree in chemical engineering from Jiangsu University in 2006, and her PhD in Material Science from Jiangsu University in 2010. She is currently an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Jiangsu University. She has published more than eighty papers in journals, and has applied and authorized more than thirty patents.

Her research interests are primarily directed at the synthesis of nanomaterials (nanometals, nanobiomaterials, nanooxides) and the selective catalysis by nanocatalysts (hydrogenation, oxidation, and reduction reactions). Since the size, morphology, and crystal structure of catalysts play critical roles in their catalytic activities, she focuses on the morphology- and structure-controlled synthesis of nanocatalysts and the structure-activity relationships between the morphology, crystal structure of nanocatalysts and their catalytic activities.

Current research topics include assembly of nanomaterials, design and construction of drug delivery system.

Fields of research:

  • Morphology- and size- controlled synthesis of nanosized metals and nanooxides.

  • Catalysis by mono- and multiple-nanometals

  • Synthesis of fine chemicals
