Experience and Feeling in the school of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering:

My study in Jiangsu university has been a mixture of sweet and sour experiences but overall, it has been interesting. My study in Jiangsu university and the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering has entirely exposed me to advanced area of science and its application specifically Nanomaterials and their electrocatalytic applications, it has been quite challenging, intriguing and worth the hassles. I have been exposed to the use of various equipment such as the XRD, SEM, TEM, Raman, BET to name just a few and also the use of various software like jade, XPS peak, Origin, nano measurer and so on. The staffs and Chinese students have been quite accommodating and hospitable. Although, the language has been a barrier in communication. Nevertheless, am fortunate to have had good supervisors and teachers in my field here in the school of chemistry and chemical engineering that speak and understands English this has made my study not so difficult. My supervisors (Prof Xie Jimin and Associate Prof Xu Yuanguo) have really played a major role in my study here not only in terms of academic, financial and social support, but also moral and mentoring support.

As the adage says “all work and no play make one dull”I have also partaken in some social activities such as the dumpling making competition during the spring festival party and also a member of the summer dance group with 孙建莹Laoshi of the OEC in charge of the dance group. Here are some of the pictures from these activities.
