On August 8, the 18th Global Chinese Chemical Engineering Symposium – 2026 Young Scholars Forum was successfully held in Zhenjiang. The event brought together over 100 outstanding young scholars in the field of chemical engineering from countries and regions including Canada, India, and Pakistan, along with several academicians and senior industry experts. They explored cutting-edge scientific and technological breakthroughs in chemical engineering and discussed pathways for youth talent development and innovative growth.


The symposium had four sub venues, and about 76 young scholars from home and abroad gave academic presentations. The conference covered many cutting-edge directions such as reaction engineering, process intensification, advanced catalysis, separation engineering, new energy materials, and the intersection of artificial intelligence and chemical engineering, fully showcasing the latest research achievements.
This symposium established a high-level, interdisciplinary platform for global young chemical engineering scholars, facilitating the exchange and cross‑pollination of cutting-edge academic results. Moreover, it injected fresh vitality into Jiangsu University’s efforts to attract top talent, expand collaborative partnerships, and achieve high-quality development, while significantly enhancing the university’s international influence.
