In the morning of March 7, 2016, Professor Masahiro Yamashita of Tohoku University has visited Jiangsu University, and gave a wonderful report to the teachers and students of School of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering. The report was emceed by Prof. Jimin Xie, about one hundred faculties and students attended this report.
Prof. M. Yamashita’s presentation entitled "Nano-Wire Pd(III) with Strong Electron Correlation: Phase Transitions and Optical Properties". He mainly focused on the properties of nano-Wire Pd(III), and briefly stated what is scientific research and how to do it. Prof. M. Yamashita’s report was understandable and full of humor, and the attendees benefited a lot from the presentation.
Prof. M. Yamashita is a famous chemist in Japan, and also the fellow of the Royal Chemical Society. He has engaged in the research based on nano-science of advanced metal complexes for many years. So far, about 500 papers have been published in international popular journals, such as Nature, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Chem. Rev., Adv. Mater. and so on. Among them, the papers that IF >8 have reached 90.
