Affected by the epidemic, some students are still abroad this semester. In order to create a high-quality offline and online classroom for international students, improve teachers' English teaching level, and exchange teaching experience, on Nov. 5, 2020, the school of chemistry and chemical engineering held an offline+online open course of "Principle of Transport Processes" in G117, which was teached by Prof. Zhao Long. The course is offered to students from the class of 2018 majoring in Chemical Engineering and Technology. The leaders of the Institute of chemical engineering and some the foreign students' teachers attended the online open course.

Prof.Zhao Long won the third prize of the 4th English Teaching Competition of Jiangsu University in 2019. During the lecture, Prof. Zhao introduced some advanced scientific research results into the classroom, so that students could get involved in the cognition and learning of scientific research in advance, which stimulated students' interest. This course adopts offline + online Rain classroom live broadcast and sharing ppt. The main teaching features of this course are: using offline + online teaching and learning, random roll call and answer questions during class, and detailed explanation of electronic blackboard with pictures and texts. In the whole teaching process, the interaction between teachers and students is outstanding, the online software is skillful, the explanation language is vivid, the key points are clear, and the difficulty analysis is thorough. The classroom atmosphere is active and the effect is good.
