Prof.Hiroyuki Furuta from Kyushu University visited our university
Dr.Hiroyuki Furuta honorably retired from Kyushu University as a professor and now he works as a professor at Ritsumeikan University in Japan. He has long been engaged in research and development in the areas of Synthesis of novel porphyrinoids for functional dyes, metal coordination chemistry for supramolecular architectures, and chemical evolution. In 1994, he synthesized and fully characterized N-confused porphyrin and pioneered an important branch of porphyrin chemistry, confusion porphyrinoids. He has published over 300 scientific articles as author and co-author and been cited over 30000 times.
On 23rd October morning, Dr. Hiroyuki Fruruta gave an academic Lecture in the lecture hall, and the title was N-confused Porphyrinoids: Directional Evolution from Porphyrin Isomer to Functional NIR Dyes. The lecture focused on the important role of N-confused porphyrinoids in the development of NIR-SWIR-light-responsive agents in the application of bioimaging and therapy. Chinese and foreign graduate students participated in the lecture. They learned the important role of N-confused porphyrinoids in the development of NIR-SWIR-light-responsive agents in the application of bioimaging and therapy from this lecture.
